Protecting Businesses From Frivolous COVID Lawsuits Act of 2025

This bill changes how federal courts handle lawsuits about people getting COVID-19 from businesses. If someone sues a business claiming they got sick because the business was negligent, the judge must tell the jury that just being open for business does not automatically make the business negligent. The jury would need other evidence beyond the fact that the business stayed open to find the business at fault.
