This resolution states that the International Atomic Energy Agency, which works on nuclear issues around the world, plays a very important role in keeping nuclear materials safe and secure. It also says that the United States has a strong interest in stopping nuclear weapons from spreading and in making sure nuclear materials are kept secure.
