This resolution says the United States should continue to protect the safety, health, and well-being of refugees and people seeking asylum. It asks the State Department, the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Health and Human Services, and the U.S. Mission to the United Nations to work with other countries to resolve current conflicts, prevent new ones, and address the underlying reasons people are forced to leave their homes.
