Establishing the Select Committee on Electoral Reform.

This resolution creates a House Select Committee on Electoral Reform to study how Members of Congress are elected and look at different ways to elect them. The committee will examine things like having multiple representatives from each district with proportional representation, changing the total number of House members, using ranked-choice voting, and holding open primaries where all parties participate together. The committee will have 14 members appointed by House leadership and must hold hearings with expert witnesses to learn about these alternatives. It has one year to complete its work and report its recommendations to Congress and the President.
