Proxy Voting for New Parents Resolution

This resolution allows House members to have another member vote for them if they just had a baby or their spouse had a baby, or if they are pregnant and cannot travel safely or have a serious medical condition. The member can choose another House member to vote for them in committees and on the House floor for up to 12 weeks. To set this up, they must write a signed letter explaining their situation and naming who will vote for them. They can end this arrangement by voting themselves, showing up in person, or writing another letter to cancel it.
