This resolution creates a rule that would block the House from considering certain budget legislation during the 119th Congress. The rule would prevent legislation that cuts Medicaid enrollment or benefits for people under 19, people 65 or older, pregnant women, and people with disabilities. It would also block legislation that reduces SNAP food assistance eligibility or benefits for households that include these same groups. The rule does not apply to legislation that reduces improper payments, stops fraudulent billing, or improves data checking to make sure people qualify for benefits.
