Establishing the Select Subcommittee to Investigate the Remaining Questions Surrounding January 6, 2021.

This resolution creates a new subcommittee within the House Judiciary Committee to investigate events surrounding January 6, 2021. The subcommittee will have up to eight members chosen by the House Speaker, with no more than three selected after consulting with the minority leader. The subcommittee is authorized to conduct a full investigation and must issue a final report by December 31, 2026. The subcommittee will have special powers to gather information, question witnesses for extended periods, and issue subpoenas, but it cannot vote on legislation.
