Condemning the Government of Iran's state-sponsored persecution of the Baha'i minority in Iran and the continued violation of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights.

This resolution speaks out against Iran for mistreating people of the Baha'i religion and for breaking international human rights agreements. It asks Iran to free Baha'is and others who are locked up just because of their religion, stop spreading hateful messages about Baha'is, and change policies that treat Baha'is and other religious minorities unfairly. It also asks the President and the Department of State to put sanctions on Iranian officials who are responsible for serious human rights abuses, including those against the Baha'i community.
