Nuclear Waste Informed Consent Act

This bill says the Department of Energy cannot spend money from the Nuclear Waste Fund on building a place to store radioactive waste unless it first gets written agreements from certain groups. Those groups include the governor of the state where the storage site would be, nearby local governments, local governments along the transportation route, and any affected Indian tribes.
