National STEM Week Act

This bill would require a federal science and technology committee to pick one week each year to be called National STEM Week, focusing on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. During that week, the committee would encourage schools, colleges, and families to take part in STEM activities. The bill would also have the committee encourage STEM-related businesses to get involved with students through things like mentorship programs, site visits, and guest lectures, and to support school STEM programs with funding and resources. The committee would be required to send a yearly report to Congress about what happened during the week.
