Crop Insurance for Future Farmers Act

This bill changes the federal crop insurance program to give more help with insurance costs to farmers and ranchers who are just starting out or who are military veterans. Right now, these farmers get an extra 10 percentage points off their insurance premiums for up to 5 years, but the bill would increase the discount to 15 percentage points in the first two years and then gradually lower it over time. The bill also doubles the time these farmers can qualify for the extra help, extending eligibility from 5 years to 10 years.
