Protecting Higher Education from the Chinese Communist Party Act of 2025

This bill would stop certain members of the Chinese Communist Party and their close family members from getting student or exchange visitor visas to come to the United States. It applies to anyone who has held any position in the Chinese Communist Party since the bill becomes law, as well as their spouses, children, parents, siblings, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. There are exceptions if letting someone in is required by international agreements, and the President can also set aside these rules if they tell Congress it is in the national interest.
