Make the Migrant Protection Protocols Mandatory Act of 2025

This bill would require the Department of Justice to send certain people back to the neighboring country they came from while they wait for a decision on whether they can enter the United States. Right now, the government can choose to either hold these individuals in the U.S. or send them back to the bordering country, but this bill would make sending them back the only option. This applies to people who arrived by land from a country that borders the United States and who are not clearly entitled to be admitted.
