Restore VA Accountability Act of 2025

This bill changes the rules for how the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) can fire, demote, or suspend employees who are supervisors or managers. The VA would be allowed to take these actions if it finds strong enough evidence that the employee's job performance or behavior justifies it, and affected employees would have the right to receive advance notice, have a lawyer, and file a grievance. The bill also includes protections for supervisors or managers who are whistleblowers or who report workplace discrimination, so they cannot be punished for speaking up. Additionally, these updated rules would apply going back to June 23, 2017, when a previous VA accountability law was passed.
