Fog Observations and Geographic Forecasting Act

This bill requires the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) to create a project aimed at improving how coastal marine fog is tracked and predicted, with the goal of making boat travel safer and reducing the economic harm caused by fog. The project would involve collecting more weather observations in fog-prone areas, improving fog prediction models, and making fog warnings clearer and more useful for the public. NOAA would have one year to put together a detailed plan for the project and would be required to work with Indian tribes and other public and private groups during the planning and development process.
