SPARC Act

This bill creates programs to help pay off student loans for specialty doctors who agree to work in rural areas that don't have enough of those types of doctors. Specialty doctors are those who practice in a field other than primary care. For each year a doctor works in one of these rural communities, the government would pay one-sixth of their loan balance, up to a total of $250,000. The bill also allows a similar loan repayment program for other specialty health care workers who are not doctors.
