Chaco Cultural Heritage Area Protection Act of 2025

This bill sets up a protected area around the Chaco Culture National Historic Park in New Mexico. Within this protected area, it would ban certain leases on federal land that allow companies to dig for minerals or use geothermal energy. It also cancels any existing oil and gas leases in the area that are not currently being used to produce oil or gas.
