Child Care Nutrition Enhancement Act of 2025

This bill changes how the government pays back day care homes and child care centers for the meals and snacks they serve to children and adults through a federal food program. Right now, day care homes in low-income areas get paid back at a higher rate than other day care homes, but this bill would get rid of that two-tier system and give all day care homes the same, higher payment rate. It also adds an extra 10 cents for every meal and snack served through the program. Finally, the bill lets day care providers who run care out of their own homes get paid back for feeding their own children during meal times, without having to meet income requirements for those children.
