Interactive Federal Review Act

This bill changes how environmental reviews for federal highway projects are done by pushing for the use of modern digital tools. The Department of Transportation would need to encourage groups receiving federal highway money to use online, cloud-based platforms and detailed 3D digital models when conducting environmental reviews required by law. The department would also pick at least 10 highway projects to test out these digital tools for environmental analysis and public input, and it would publish guidance on best practices for using them.
