Agriculture Resilience Act of 2025

This bill requires the Department of Agriculture to create and carry out a plan so that the farming sector produces net-zero carbon emissions by 2040. It expands many existing agriculture programs to focus on fighting climate change, including efforts to improve soil health, protect farmland and grassland, reduce methane from livestock waste, and support renewable energy in rural areas. The bill also addresses food waste by creating standard labels that tell people when food should be used or thrown away, making composting eligible for government conservation support, and setting up grants to reduce food waste in landfills and schools.
