Shivwits Band of Paiutes Jurisdictional Clarity Act

This bill gives the State of Utah the legal authority to handle certain civil court cases that involve the Shivwits Band of Paiutes tribe in southwestern Utah, including disputes over contracts and agreements that happen on the tribe's land. This means the tribe and other parties can go to Utah state court to settle these kinds of disagreements. The bill also allows the tribe to lease land that is held in trust for them for up to 99 years.
