MAILS Act

This bill requires the U.S. Postal Service to create a formal way for local government officials to ask for a new post office. It also changes how the Postal Service handles temporary moves of postal services for things like holidays or special events. If a temporary move would last more than two days, the Postal Service must first gather and consider feedback from the community. The Postal Service would also need to notify local officials and the public about these moves and provide updates and a public presentation.
