Ensuring Accurate and Complete Abortion Data Reporting Act of 2025

This bill would require states to report information about abortions to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in order to keep receiving federal Medicaid money for family planning services. Right now, states report this information voluntarily, but this bill would make it mandatory. The CDC would be responsible for creating a standard set of questions for states to answer, covering topics like the demographics of the women involved and the methods used.
