FARM Act

This bill adds the Secretary of Agriculture as a member of the government committee that reviews foreign investments in the United States. It requires that committee to look at any investment that could give a foreign entity control over an American agricultural business. The bill also classifies agricultural systems and supply chains as critical infrastructure and critical technology, which means they would face closer review. Additionally, the Department of Agriculture and the Government Accountability Office must each study and report on how foreign countries are influencing the U.S. agricultural industry.
