RULES Act

This bill says that people seeking asylum in the United States must arrive and apply at an official port of entry. They would not be allowed into the country while waiting for their application to be decided, and anyone caught inside the U.S. without legal immigration status would not be eligible for asylum. If someone's asylum application is denied, they would be permanently banned from applying again, which is different from current law that allows people to reapply under certain circumstances.
