Apex Project, Nevada Land Transfer and Authorization Act Amendments Act

This bill updates a 1989 law about a piece of land in Nevada called the Apex Project by allowing the city of North Las Vegas and the Apex Industrial Park Owners Association to receive the same rights as Clark County to build and connect utilities and roads, like electric power, water, gas, phone lines, railroads, and highways, to certain lands in the area. It speeds up the process for getting permits for these utilities and infrastructure. The bill also lets the Department of the Interior sell mineral materials found on the surface of land within the Apex Site at fair market value without needing to advertise or take bids, and it requires that all land transfers and rights-of-way follow existing federal environmental and land management laws.
