For Sale Act of 2025

This bill requires the government to sell six specific federal buildings in Washington, D.C., for their fair market value. The agencies currently using these buildings would have to move out within 18 months and relocate to other federal buildings, and the buildings would then need to be sold within two years after they are emptied. The bill does not allow the buildings to be sold to foreign individuals, foreign organizations, or groups owned by foreign people. The sales would also be exempt from certain environmental and historic preservation laws that would normally apply.
