Preventing Pretrial Gun Purchases Act

This bill would make it illegal to sell a gun or ammunition to someone who has been released before trial under a court order that says they cannot buy, have, or receive firearms. It would also create grants to help states and Indian tribes send information about these pretrial release orders to the national background check system used when people try to buy guns.
