DRAIN THE SWAMP Act

This bill would require federal agencies to move at least 30% of their employees who work in the Washington, DC area to other locations around the country. It would also end full-time telework for both relocated employees and those who stay in the DC area, and employees who are moved would be paid based on the pay scale of their new location. The bill would also require the government to sell or stop leasing at least 30% of agency headquarters office space within two years. Certain employees in agencies like the Department of Defense, the CIA, and the Department of Homeland Security would be excluded from these requirements.
