Equal Health Care for All Act

This bill says health care providers cannot give unequal care to people based on race, religion, or other personal characteristics. If someone believes they received unfair care, the Department of Health and Human Services must set up a process to investigate and resolve complaints, and the Department of Justice can take legal action against providers who break the rules. Health care providers would also be required to report data broken down by factors like race and other demographics, and Medicare's hospital payment program would have to include measures related to fair care. The bill also creates a new Federal Health Equity Commission to watch over how the law is carried out and sets up grants to help hospitals provide more equal care.
