Young Fishermen’s Development Program Reauthorization Act

This bill extends funding through 2031 for the Young Fishermen's Development Program, which gives out grants to help train and educate young people who want to work in fishing. It adds new topics the grants can cover, like crew management, disaster preparedness, seafood handling, and maintaining waterfront work areas. The bill also says grant recipients can't hold more than one grant at the same time, and it requires NOAA's National Sea Grant Office to keep track of how program participants' careers develop and use that information when reviewing future grant applications.
