Francis G. Newlands Memorial Removal Act

This bill requires the Department of the Interior to remove or hide the name of Francis Newlands from a memorial fountain located at Chevy Chase Circle in Washington, D.C. This includes taking down a brass plaque with his name, removing a stone tablet with his name and an inscription, and removing or covering his name carved into the fountain's stones. After removal, the items must be offered to Newlands' descendants for 60 days, and if they don't claim them, the National Park Service will keep the items as part of the Rock Creek Park museum collection.
