Choices for Increased Mobility Act of 2025

This bill tells the agency that runs Medicare to create new billing codes for certain very lightweight manual wheelchairs, separating them based on whether they are made with materials like titanium or carbon fiber. Medicare would pay suppliers the same amount it normally does for these wheelchairs, but suppliers would be allowed to charge the person using Medicare for any extra cost beyond what Medicare covers. The agency may also require suppliers to let people know ahead of time if they might have to pay extra out of their own pocket.
