Natural Disaster Resilience and Recovery Accountability Act

This bill creates a 15-member commission within the Office of Management and Budget to study and suggest improvements to how the federal government handles preparing for and recovering from natural disasters. Federal agencies would be required to share information with the commission when asked. The commission must hold its first meeting within 240 days of the bill becoming law and then submit a final report to Congress within two years of that first meeting, including specific recommendations for improving federal disaster programs. The commission would shut down 60 days after it turns in its report.
