SNAP BACK Act of 2025

This bill says that if the federal government temporarily runs out of funding for SNAP (the food assistance program sometimes called "food stamps"), states that keep running the program on their own during that time must be paid back by the Department of Agriculture. The reimbursement only applies if the state followed all federal rules and regulations while running the program during the funding gap.
