Returning Unspent COVID Funds Act

This bill takes back unspent money that the government set aside during COVID-19 through several major relief laws, including the CARES Act and the American Rescue Plan. That leftover money must stay in the Treasury and be used only to pay down the national debt. However, the President can choose to keep certain programs from losing their funding by notifying specific congressional committees within 60 days of the bill becoming law.
