Expanding Health Care Options for First Responders Act

This bill would let certain first responders between the ages of 50 and 64 sign up for Medicare if they are retired or left their jobs because of a disability. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services would be in charge of deciding when people can sign up and how much they would pay. The bill also requires grants to be given to states and nonprofit organizations to help spread the word and assist people with signing up for this new option.
