American Values Act

This bill would expand rules about how U.S. foreign aid money can be used, making it so that no foreign aid under a major aid law can be used to pay for or promote abortions, forced sterilizations, or related activities. It would also permanently ban foreign aid from going to organizations that support forced abortions or involuntary sterilization, and from being used to lobby for or against abortion. Additionally, the bill would make permanent a rule that Peace Corps funds cannot be used to pay for abortions, except in cases of rape, incest, or when the mother's life is in danger.
