Rural Hospital Support Act

This bill changes how Medicare pays certain rural hospitals to help them keep receiving higher payments. It updates the payment amounts for sole community hospitals and Medicare-dependent hospitals based on their 2016 operating costs, but only if doing so means the hospitals get paid more. It also makes some temporary payment adjustments for Medicare-dependent hospitals and low-volume hospitals permanent, instead of letting them expire in March 2025.
