ACO Assignment Improvement Act of 2025

This bill changes how Medicare patients are linked to certain doctor groups called accountable care organizations (ACOs), which can earn extra payments when they help save money through better-coordinated care. Right now, patients are assigned to these groups based on the primary care services they receive from doctors in the group. This bill would expand that so patients can also be assigned based on primary care they receive from physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and clinical nurse specialists who are part of the group.
