Nancy Gardner Sewell Medicare Multi-Cancer Early Detection Screening Coverage Act

Starting in 2028, this bill would let Medicare pay for special screening tests that can check for many types of cancer at once, as long as those tests have been approved by the Food and Drug Administration and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services agrees the coverage makes sense. There would be limits on who can get the test based on age — in 2028, you would need to be under 68, and that age limit would go up by one year each year after that. People who qualify could only get one of these tests every 11 months.
