Expand the Behavioral Health Workforce Now Act

This bill would require a federal health care agency to give states advice on how to train, hire, and keep more mental health and substance use disorder workers in programs like Medicaid and CHIP, which provide health coverage to people with lower incomes and to children. The bill focuses especially on getting more of these workers into rural areas and other places that don't have enough of them.
