Secure Rural Schools Reauthorization Act of 2025

This law continues a program that sends federal money to states and counties that have certain federal land within their borders. The money, managed through the Forest Service or the Bureau of Land Management, helps pay for things like schools, roads, and other local services. The law extends these payments through 2026, provides missed payments for 2024 and 2025, and allows counties and advisory committees to start projects using these funds through 2028.
