Supporting Victims of Human Trafficking Act

This bill changes how money set aside to help victims of human trafficking is divided up. It raises the portion of funding that can be used for research from 3% to 7%, and the portion for training and technical assistance from 5% to 10%. It also allows some of that training money to be used for improving how programs are run and budgeted. Additionally, the bill increases the share of project costs paid by the federal government from 75% to 95%.
