STOP MADNESS Act

This bill lets the President place sanctions on foreign governments that refuse to take back their citizens who entered the United States illegally, as well as on foreign governments or individuals who knowingly help people immigrate to the United States unlawfully. The President can choose not to apply these sanctions if doing so is in the national security interest of the country. Anyone who breaks the rules in this bill can face criminal and civil penalties under an existing law called the International Emergency Economic Powers Act.
