Stop Arming Cartels Act of 2025

This bill makes it illegal to import, sell, make, transfer, or own .50 caliber rifles under existing gun laws and requires them to be registered and licensed. It also makes it a crime to sell or transfer guns and ammunition to foreign people or groups that have been officially identified as major drug traffickers. On top of that, the bill allows lawsuits against gun makers or sellers who knowingly sell weapons or ammunition to those designated drug trafficking individuals or groups, which current law generally does not permit.
