Semiquincentennial Congressional Time Capsule Act

This bill requires the Architect of the Capitol to create a time capsule to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. The time capsule would be buried in the Capitol Visitor Center by July 4, 2026, and would include a joint letter from congressional leaders along with other items they choose. The time capsule would stay sealed for 250 years, not to be opened until July 4, 2276.
