ePermit Act

This bill requires the government to modernize and digitize the environmental review process. The Council on Environmental Quality must create data standards, build digital tools, and set up a shared online system where federal agencies can easily exchange information related to environmental reviews. Federal agencies involved in environmental reviews must follow these new data standards and use the shared system. The goal is to have a unified, cloud-based digital system connecting all relevant federal agencies up and running by December 1, 2027, with a pilot program starting within a year.
