Soil CARE Act of 2026

This bill requires the Department of Agriculture to create a training program focused on keeping soil healthy. The program would teach government workers and outside helpers about the latest methods and science for improving soil, so they can then help farmers learn how to take better care of their farmland. The training must be offered twice every two years in each region, include both online and in-person options, and be developed with the help of organizations that already have experience in soil health. The program's materials must be reviewed and updated every two years.
