Medical Nutrition Therapy Act of 2026

This bill would expand Medicare's coverage of medical nutrition therapy services, which currently only covers people with diabetes or kidney disease. Under the bill, people with other conditions like obesity, eating disorders, cancer, and HIV/AIDS could also get these services covered by Medicare. It also allows more types of health care providers, such as physician assistants and nurse practitioners, to refer patients for these services, not just doctors.
